About New Year's Eve in Ontario

December 31st is known as New Year's Eve in Ontario, and is the last day of the calendar year. It is tradition to stay up until midnight to welcome the new year, and as such bars and restaurants are often busy on New Year's Eve. The Beer Store and The LCBO are typically very busy as well.
